Getting to know us.

My name is Adam and I will be your host here for the foreseeable future. I'm the one designing our rooms and puzzles, with a little help from my friends, and I'd like to discuss our first two rooms, and our plans for the future briefly, before we open to the public on July 8th.

First I guess I should tell you a little about myself. I have been a game enthusiast since I was a young child. I've played a wide variety of game type over the years, with most of my favorites being board and card games. I played my first escape game in Nashville in August of 2014 and I've been hooked ever since. As of this writing I have done 15 rooms, with plans to get in several more before the end of the year.

I'm hoping to use my experience playing rooms to be able to craft well made, fun, and engaging rooms for the players here. My goal is to craft a room where about 1/3 of all groups get out in the allotted time, as that appears to be the sweet spot as far as enthusiasts are concerned. I want to make rooms were all of the players can stay engaged, that's why we are starting with 6 player rooms. We will do larger rooms that will accommodate more players in the future, but I have done too many rooms that were less enjoyable because the group size was larger than what the puzzles could accommodate, to want to start that way.  We are starting on the lower end of technology as far as escape rooms go, but intend to ramp that up very quickly as we progress. I will try to incorporate as may shock and awe moments into the rooms as I reasonably can, because that has been one of my favorite parts of doing rooms myself.

Hope to see you at Escapades in the near future, so I can take you on an adventure!

Until next time, when I'll go over some exciting things in the larger escape game community and give you some resources if you are interested.
